Hose

What kind of flexible hose do you guys use from the pump in sump to the tank? Is the clear hose good or other hoses are better?

Clear hoses have a propensity to have algae growth inside them. This never really bothered me.

Im partial to braided tubing


Its inexpensive and available at basically any hardware or home improvement story. I think its a little more pliable than regular vynal tubing. Its tough stuff.

Hard to work with in sizes bigger than 1" though

I don't like vinyl hose bec over time it get super hard and its junk then. Other way is use non kink hose.

I've had stuff stay pliable for 2-3 years no problem. If a guy has to replace it every few years so be it. That's good preventative maintenance.

Non kink Ribbed tubing is nice but acquires alot of detritus inside the casing. Not a big deal but I hate cleaning tubing with a pipe brush
