Hot Magnum 30: base model or Pro

I have a few of questions about these:

Is it worth upgrading to the Pro with the Biowheel, or is the base model good enough for a 40g breeder?

Can I hook multiple tanks up to it?

and,
Is there a better, comparably priced canister filter for up to 75g?

Get the bio wheel with it. I ran a HOT with a Pro 60 on a 55 for years with awesome results. You will be thankful you have the added biological filteration.

I have an HOT magnum on my 75 with a bak pak protien skimmer and a emperor 400 with bio wheel so I really didn't need the bio wheels. If I had room on the back of my tank I would use them but I don't. My father used them for a while and he did pretty well so I would say go for it. You can use the magnum filter to.
