Viperkeeper showed me that he found in CALIFORNIA I should be alowed to keep native hots if they are not protected. Its number is limited but do you think its more of a city versus county thing?Im not saying he told me to do it or that he knows for sure so please dont take it that way.He did not tell me to break any laws.Any info ppl,my thoughts are on CB gila monsters mainly.

Dunno...check with your local USFW offices or DNR or something.
man i just need to call them or something because I just get jummbled trying to understand their sites.Guess Im too tired by the time I think of doing it.

Might be able to keep, might need a licence... either way worth checking to be honest. Gilas are native to cali? I imagine you have some rattlers or something cool though.

personaly i dont have any hots.I wouldnt want to get caught and have my other pets taken away or something. However what you may have meant ,we got tons of rattlers, kings, and some other gophers and such. The gilas i would keep, you can handle with gloves and I know it would be cake.I try these sites and they just confuse me.I know i cant get a wild one and wouldnt but i think the cb are way up there in price, lol.

rosy boas too,my girl and i stepped over one of these last year,it didnt rattle until we got passed it.Must have woke it up.Nice warning their, snake bastard,lol.mojave_green-335x240.jpgmojave green

here davo, don't get to jelouse,Its dang near impossible to find half of these anyways,lol,http://www.californiaherps.com/identification/lizardsid/lizards.id.html

but the fun is in the hunt!

hmmm rattlers that don't rattle much. Theres been a "worry" for a while they are devolving that trait being as: they rattle -> they give away their position and get killed. Al mentioned it on one of his videos with rattlers just the other week too. Would be kinda sad if that happened.

Oh and I was confused that Al gave you advice that you may be able to keep native hots but they you went on about gilas...

you know gilas got venom right? Is that what happend, lol. If not maybe I dont get it and you can help me understand.

davo i hope you didnt think I was baggin on you.I just wasnt sure if you knew they had venom.I need to see what my town permits too.Even if the state says one thing, the city may have dif rules. These guys are like 1500 bucks though.Imagine breeding them:drool:
