About a month ago i ordered 2 Cryptoheros sp. Honduran redpoint and also
2 Hericthus Carpintus (Escondido) in from Jeff Rapps .
Long story short male escondido and female redpoint paired off and i now have wigglers.
Me personally i gotta see what these fish will look like ,has anyone ever had a mix like this ? I found one texas x convict mix on u tube but cant really see colors or markings very well.
Anyone happen to have any info on this ?

I have Carpintis x Pink convict hybrids . . . look mostly like convicts, but with some blue spangles and nicer color in the fins . . .

Hmm well guess it wont hurt to grow out a few and see what they turn out like
how big are your mixed fish ? i was kinda hoping id get a huge red point looking fish out of the mix

they are only 6mos old, so ultimate size is not known yet . . . personally, I was hoping to get a small Texas out of it :)

would like to see some of those pink con x carpintis

I'll see what I can do . . . they don't look like much yet; at this stage, there are only hints that they might be anything special . . .

lol . . . they really aren't that cool, but I will try to get a picture and put it up

bottom line is they look too much like convicts, not enough like Texas . .

tried getting some shots of the one I keep at work; they aren't great, but you get an idea. we're talking about a grey fish (like convicts) with lateral markings and some red/blue coloring and small spangles in the fins (like Texas) . . .

I'll try getting some pix of the ones at home tonite . . . the fish are the same, but the lighting is different, might photograph better . . . what you cannot see on this one is the blue spangles on the body, which are very subtle
