the picture shows 4 each55 gallon plastic drums.....the water enters the filters 24/7 from the mech filters. when it reaches the top a siphon auto starts and drains the barrel. this gives a great mix of full water to full air..repeats endlessly with no moving parts.
the two bio towers....as marked 12 diameter x96 and 18 diameter x 96
the white tank is the heater sump....4 each 6 kilowatt heaters. one running single phase on its own controller set 1 degree higher than the rest.
the other three are hooked in a delta configuration and run off 3 phase with their own temp control.
the temp controls are industrial process controls which drive very heavy duty power relays which control the power to the heaters.
the sump tank itself was welded from 1/2 inch polypropylene. it is 4x3x4 ( 300 gallons)
