Just wondering if anyone has tried housing a few of these pig nose turtle together either in the same tank or pond with much success?

Yes, 3 14"ers together in a 750 gallon. They do better in a trio IMO because with 2 there is usually one that will pick on another.

Is that a 10 foot tank you got them in? How old are they if you don't mind me asking? Have you had them together for a while?

I got 3 pig nose together ATM and they all get along pretty well. Ive tried putting the 4th one in went pretty well for 1 week then i started seeing him bite the ends of the other original 3 which have been together for over a year. Is there something else i can try? I wanna see if i can get all 5 in the the one tank living happily.

Everytime it goes for one of the others
Take it and wrap in a wet towel
For 15 mins then put it back in
If it does it again repeat the process
They prefer to be in the water so they learn quick
My female frt started having a go at my ray but now they live together sweet but if she reoffends out she comes!!

I was keeping 4 together in a 650 gal tank for 2 years. I separated them when one of the females tore off the lower jaw of the other female. I haven't tried to reunite them since.

Hi Oddball

Didn't know they go through that extreme in attacking one another. Mine normally tends to bite the back of the caraspace but yeah that is pretty bad. How is the female with the ripped out jaw? Did it manage to recover ok?
