i've decided to put off setting up my 55g fish tank but i decided to make a crested gecko tank. i've been reading and some recommend a smaller setup some recommend a larger tank. i was thinking of using one of my 55g tanks but i could also purchase one at petco before th $1 a gallon sale is up. i would like to keep a pair of them in hopes they would mate. any recommendations? any pics of your tanks?

That link is great, but for my personal experience...

alright, well, if you are going to do a fifty five, I mean get a breeding trio, not a set.

Get 1 male,2 females.

make sure that their temp stays at 72-77.

Mist as much as you can a day, at least twice. 5 is better.

Oh and back to breeding them.

Make sure you get an proven males and females, and that they will all tolerate each other, never put males together.. that is a stupid mistake..

PM me for more info.

A 55 is a wonderland for a pair of cresties. I bred crested geckos for years in 29 tall tanks. Hardly ever incubated eggs either. Every few months a couple of new babies would pop up. It was always a nice suprise when I found new hatchlings. Just make sure you have a seperate setup for the female to take brakes from breeding. Males can be ruthless at breeding attempts.
