Housing Wels Cats together ?

What is your experience keeping more than one Wels together? Please note size, and how long they have been together (or not.)

Not sure I would try it seems very territorial. I can't speak on this but mine nearly killed a flathead larger than itself.

In a large tank pond it will work.. I know a few guys that do it, their ponds are 2k gallons plus.

Even with ponds that size you would need to upgrade eventually and their territories would eventually put them in conflict. Two eventually (20 years down the road) would need 10,000 gals or more.

oh but definitely agree you can house any fish together with a large enough body of water! that's how they live in the wild lol

I agree. They don't seem to be that territorial even at 30"+ though.
