Is it alright to keep a 6" flowerhorn in a 50G rubbermaid box?

I saw two female 6" colorful flowerhorn at my lfs, and they for $10 each :O

but i dont have a tank but got the boxes, so it alright to keep them in there? or not?

oh yeah i forgot about the heating and i would wrap the heater or something bury in the gravel just to make sure it does not burn through the tub but i have come to find the rubbermaid tubs are great for water changes

water circulation would prevent it from heating the plastic to the melting point.. never had a heater melt through yet.

just did some more research on this, and apparently some plastics, depending on grade, will leak toxins or chems into water over time. so check up on this first. :D

Oh great after he gets them, lol.

Flowerhorns are hardy though, you shoud hopefully be fine as long as you are consistent with water changes..
