Houston (and surrounding areas) MFKers....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It will probably be a long time until we hear from them.... :(

I'm crossing my fingers. Sorry to hear about your situation, fellow MFKs.:( Been through this before and I was really sunk from the experience. Must admit the memories are still haunting me.

Does anyone know how far up it is stretching? Like, are Ft. Worth and Dallas getting hammered as well?

I have some friends up in Ft. Worth, but haven't heard anything from them for a few days. I hadn't even thought of the hurricane. I hope they are ok. . . .

Ft Worth is fine, we were way too far north... plus it curved off to the east. We go some 40 mph gusts and light to moderately heavy rain... but the Tyler area (to the east of DFW) got it way worse. I have friends from galveston and houston and it's not what you'd call pretty. But all agree they faired better than they could have.

well we came thru ike ok no power yet, generator works tho, the east side got it worse than we did over here on the west side. i hope it does not take two weeks to get the power up tho.

forgot i am heading home monday, i just came down here to be with my aunt and uncle, as they did not want to leave home, cant say i blame them, we have made it thru several hurricanes. glad i took my generator at least they will have power.
