How about some loaches with chocolate cichlid?

they should be fine I have kept clown loaches with more aggressive cichlids than chocolates. They are pretty quick and usually stand up for themselves.

My chocolate is a sissy, as most others. I think he would run from a school of Rosy reds.

yeah they should be fine together. i currently have clown loaches with amphilophus xiloaensis, zonatus and melanarus with no issues.

I think my chocolate is getting to feel more at home, I added a school of 4 diamond tetras as dithers as someone suggested, now hes chasing them sometimes! He cant catch them though.
