I bought this lil guy at a local LFS. He was brought in by a local breeded they told me. He was under an inch and just sold as "flowerhorn" so not much info. Maybe 2 inches now and looking pretty good to me? Calling it he because I see a lil hump forming for being small still. What might I have here? He looks like he will be sweet when he grows up. Nice and fat too!

Nice!!! They make pellets just for flowerhorns that really bring out the color if you really want to get to its full potential. Also you may want to put him in his own tank as if they are the dominant fish that will also bring out his colors.
Great flowerline (black pattern down the side). Watch its aggression level with tankmates. Beautiful fish though !!!
Its with the red texas fry I bought from another member. There are 4 of them and him in a 55 right now. So far they get along well and all but maybe 1 are showing great potential! Im sure they will put me in a nice dilema pretty soon!
judging by the marking on the dorsal fin, it may be a female zhen zhou

Dont look like my other 2 identified as zhen zhou? I hope its not a female or that means all 3 of my flowerhorns bought as tiny fry are females!
