How active are Delhezi?

Can you compare their swimming pattern to another fish other than Poly's.

Do they swim as much as Spotted Gars? Scombs (Payara)?

I had payara once and I have to say Delhezi are more active than Payara. I never own a gar so cannot speak from experience. Delhezi will swim in all parts of the tank. They love to swim between intake tubes and driftwood. I have a tank full of polys cruisers. They just swim around the tank cruising all day. Go ahead and get the one from Xcuter!

compared to those i'd say pretty active my senegal is one of the more active fish in the tank its in and delhezi are supposed to be just as if not more active so probably more active then those two

My del's both spend the majority of the time just relaxing at the front of the tank...but apparently I've got some of the oddballs.

nah...mine don't swim around all day either...they have their moments of cruising and moments of just chilling. i tend to think of delhezi as semi-active compared to what palmas polli would do.

my del is much more active then my senegal, he is just swimming around most of the time.

Thanks guys. I'm looking for an active Poly to go with my Ray/Red Tail Payara/ VATF
and heard that the Del is the best way to go for my Ray. As far as colors, Tempermant and swimming.

What do you say??? On the right track??

My senegal spends his whole day swimming up and down and around the tank....almost like he is looking for a way out!!! he will occcasionally take a break, normally after he has stuffed himself full of food, but then straight back to cruising.....

My brother remarked he reminded him of a new fish checking his new surroundings out.

well.
in order of my bichirs most active to least active its:
1.sens and endlis (equal)
2.delhezis
3.lap
4.ex ornates
but it seems i have very active endlis.
