It depends on many factors.
How big the fish is.
How the ank is set up. With many hideing spots avalible any fish is more apt to come out of hiding.
The individual fishes personallity.
If they are the dominate fish or not.
Ussually though, doviis tend to be a very bold fish and will be out in the open, and may even attack the glass when you come near the tank.
