Just wondering how active silver aros are once they get 24" or larger. I saw a couple 30-36" at our local public aquarium they had a tank 25-30' long but really didn't swim much and moved very slow. Is this common for older aros? Mine is 13.5" and never seems to stop swimming.

Thanks for the Imput.

Some pics from the Downtown Aquarium in Denver, Oh the Arapaima gigas in this tank they are awsome and they never stopped moving.

In my experience having had 24+ inch arowana's, they are no different than your 13". Except perhaps, a little more mellow in the sence that they understand how life works and are pretty laid back. But they still swim the same. I've seen 36" arowanas too, that are the same as well.

Mine is laid back and never stops moving (24")

mine only stays still when he is directly in the fan jet current.. otherwise he is always on the move when I barely pick a corner of the cover to my pond up he is right there stareing at me he comes to me when I am down there and depending on what mood he is in he will let me pet him... ALTTHOUGH KEEP YOUR FINGERS OUT OF THE POND unless you wanna get bit it has happened to me
