how agressive are lapradei

my bud just gave me a 15inch lapradei but my 9 inch ornate and hujeta are missing plus he is picking on my other bichirs xept my endli he is taking no crap from him
 
Nice pick-up! I have found that my lapradei will test every fish to see if he can eat it! Here he is eatin a clown loach! :cry:

a lot of times bichir aggression has more to do with the individual fish rather than the species. But they sure are predatory.
 
oh yes my lap eats ANYTHING that even MIGHT fit in his mouth and bites everything at least once to test. :)

This is why I sold my first lap. Within a few weeks of having her, she had one of my clowns in her jaws, but the clown survived and went to John later on, and now I have 7 laps :ROFL:

I couldn't agree more. This is a very important point to note for the noobs in bichir keeping, or those who have never mixed them before. :)

Mine are fairly placid most of the day, but they all seem to flick the activity switch at the exact same moment... when the shrimp hits the water. ;)
