I keep hearing about yall getting big wild fires and it would be a real shame if one of our members lost his home or his fish because of wild fires. So yall ok?

I heard that a car fire sparked the latest blaze?

It's incredible that there's so many going at the same time, and now in a good way.

Yo F FMA4ME how things over there?

We had a little stress (actually a lot of stress) last weekend. The Carr Fire was 5% contained, and growing, and they had evacuated the small town near our camp. We made a mad dash four hour drive and arrived in Redding at 1am Saturday morning. Ash covered our boat and truck, and there were big chunks of "charcoal" on the ground.. Which turned out to be burned pine bark from trees many miles away. I have never towed the boat, but would have done so in a heartbeat to keep it from burning up. We were prepared to evacuate our camp. 8,000 people were without power, and they had roving blackouts through out the area. Temps were around 105. We were very fortunate to have AC the whole time. The Fire was heading the opposite direction, so we were able to go home on Sunday. With all the fires going in southern Oregon, we literally drove through smoke for four hours. S. Oregon had been under seige for over a week with multiple fires burning. Today is the first day that Grants Pass and Cave Junction OR have had blue skies. The scary reality is that everything is bone dry, and a burning ember could land and ignite a new fire miles away. :(. :(

Have you considered making a fire trench?
Having a nonflammable roof(such as a layer of corrugated aluminum) greatly reduces chances a ember will catch on your roof

Are you and your pacu ok though? Yall safety is #1.
