How bad is a chip?

I have a 125g with a tiny chip in the middle of the back glass on the inside. It is maybe 1mm wide, and doesn't seem to go too far in. Caused by a little live rock earlier in its life.
 
Right, I know to do that. I have also thought about covering it with a much larger piece of glass. Although it wouldn't be aesthetically pleasing, it would probably help.
 
Several people have siliconed a glass patch over chips and cracks with success. Make sure it's in the back and just hide it with creative aquascaping or a background

I don't think filling it in would be a good idea. I think that could turn it into a crack.
