If I wanted to set up a native tank with some perch, bass, maybe sunfish. How big should I go? (If I find out that it's legal see previous post)

A largemouth bass would need a very large tank, at least 6' long in my honest opinion. THe perch and sunfish, depending on what kind of sunfish it was would probably do alright in something like a 75g.

Yeah...the bass will need at least a 125 for one of them. They can get fairly large. I would have to agree with sandtiger that the sunfish and perch could stay in a 75. Maybe 8 total!

If you are planning on keeping a largemouth bass for life, you need something that is at least 24" deep as they get that long. For sunfish, you just have to look at the max size of the ones you want. Bluegills for instance can get over 12" so 8 is a lot. If you keep orangespotted/bluespotted/etc sunfish, you can get away with having more. Also, some of the sunfish species are really aggressive so you have to experiment with sizes and counts in aquariums.

I always thought a 180 for bass. They get BIG.

id say 6'x2'x2' if you want to keep the lmb for life or you could get a 125g and chuck him back in the lake when he gets too big and catch another

I just bought a 75g and was planning on keeping 4 or 5 bluegill or pumpkinseeds, whichever I catch. If you try a LMB it will eventually eat everything else in the tank. Also make sure you have some good filtration because they can be alittle messy.
