Hello everyone.
I'm in the process of planing a new tank build but I'm not sure what size I should shoot for. I'll give you the list of fish I want stocked in the tank maybe someone could make a good size suggestion.
Stock list.
2 ebjd
2 oscar
1 jaguar cichlid
1 Texas cichlid
1 flower horn
2-3 blood red parrot cichlid
1 red jewel cichlid
1 tiretrack eel
3 Bala sharks.
And maybe a Cuban cichlid

Any advise would be greatly helpful thanks for your input.

Regardless of tank size, you need to do some serious research on the mixing of cichlids. You are wanting to mix high aggression Central American killers with others that would be completely destroyed.

Haha op's name is an appropriate response to both the above posts.

Op: to even have a chance at that stock successfully aim at 500+. 1000 and maybe they'll have enough room that they won't run into each other, but i doubt it. But hey, don't let anyone discourage you to try risky mixes, if it works out for you people will be quick to pat you on the back. After of course telling you as they grow your chances will lessen, but take the risk and learn or get lucky!

I'm going to build the tank. I can go up to 800 gallons with the area I will have to do it. And I have done a lot of research mixing cichlids and have had a lot of success doing it. Right now I have a Texas, a jaguar, 2 ebjd, flowerhorn and a jewel in a 125 gallon tank they all get along great. I had to do a lot of trial and error but I got what I wanted out of that tank now it's time to move them to bigger tank and hopefully get some more cichlids too
