How Big Do Convicts Get?

From what I've seen, yes. My biggest convict who is a male, it about 5 inches long and a year old.

Yeah, I've never really seen one more than 6'', but it does depend on the gender.

oh ok cause i have a male and female that breed like crazy do they ever stop breeding?

NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they are the rabbits of the water. ive never seen them over 6" only males. my pink is 5 1/2" and black 5" both males.

I think those saying 5 or 6 inches is referring to TL (Total Length), the standard measure SL (Standard Length - not counting the tail fin) would be less. I'd say 4" SL would be about the max. I stand to be corrected.

Yes a pair that has been together long enough breeding non stop from my exerience will stop breeding or atleast slow down greatly. our two year old male is 5", he grew up in a 20 then to a 55, then to a 125g with his mate. Our female who was his same age and grew up with him only grew to about 3". They did however eventually stop breeding. I have seen convict raised in huge pond like wells and they are about 6-7"
