Just want to be sure. I can't find anything online saying they get any bigger than 5", but this doesn't seem right to me seeing as the males can get a foot. I have a silver one that I'm 90% sure is a female. Ignore the algae.

I had a fat female in the past and it was 4-5” she was fat lol and had beautiful colors like the males.
I have seen 7 inch tl and I would not be too surprised if a bit more is possible with good genetics. With 7 inch that female still looked like a dwarf swimming next to a full grown male.
I had a friend who had a pair the male was about 10in the female was about 7in they was by themselves in a 125 the male had the biggest Kok i ever seen on a GT

Females I've had from slightly under 7 to slightly under 8 inches.
Males I've had 9 to nearly 11, and 8-8.5 inch males are not uncommon-- I've done a poll.
Of course, they can even bigger, but max size is not average or common, any more than a 7ft human is common.

5-8 seems plausible. I don’t think most male GT’s really get to a foot, usually they’re around 8-10, maybe 11.
