  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Won't live long in fresh, can live up to 18 years in BW. Read: F8s

Have you actually seen one that was 6"? Never heard of them getting that big.

6 inches brackish

I agree with the 6 inch MAX.
If this was for the tank you were planning, it WILL eat all of the inverts.

it will be in a 85 gallon semi aqautic tank with one side of the tank all land aproximately a third of the tank size and their will be the dead mangrove roots and large rocks plus the live mangrove shoots popping out of the water for the inverts to hang on by the way i used to have a figure eight and he was with a blue crayfish and they were the same size but it was the oppisit and the puffer tried to bite the cray but its shell was to hard and the cray got mad and grabbed and snapped up the puffer:( i wont be makeing that mistake but i also will feed the puffer alot of small ghost shrimp to keep his attention off of the other inverts and half clams, cockels, krill and market shrimp

6 in is a little extreme i have never seen nor heard of a f8 gettin bigger then 3.5in

Agreed. If you saw a 6" F8, it was really a Ceylon--guaranteed! They are often misidentified as F8 & look very similar: Figure Eight Puffers
