How big do Jags need to be before they spawn?

I have 2 jags in my 180 gallon tank. The smaller one I have assumed is female. I havent noticed that they paired up but they do seem to spend some time together.

The male(I assume its a male) is about 4-6" long and the one I assume is a female is about 3" long. Last night I noticed her belly is swelled quite large. Are they big enough to be spawning? I will try to get some pics of them later when I get home.

When I bought my jag pair the female was about 4" and the male was about 4.5". They were already caring for their second or third batch of fry, so I would think yours are big enough to breed.

Wow bro, they look incredible now. You're doing really well with them, congrats.

they've quickly become my favorites..the male eats out of my fingers. They're in a 150 with some bruisers but they've clearly taken control of a third of the tank.
