How much filter media in terms of volume must i be stocking, if i am gonna have an aro and say... 8 Endlichri or assorted birchirs??

Tank size is 566L.

filter is a trickle filtration unit. mounted above.

Sintered glass and the green thick matting.

The industry standard, for trickle filters, is 2.2gals of 1.5" bio-balls per 100gal (US) of system with a moderate bio-load.
!.5" bio-balls have 160 sq/ft of surface area for bacteria to adhere to. Approx. 3.5 gals of this bio-media will suffice. Switching to other materials will reduce the amount you'd need by half. Plastic pot scrubbers and floor-buffer white stripping pads contain 370sq/ft of surface area.
Here's a table to compare materials:

lol odd ball nice graph...

Though i think its cos i'm a little slow i'm not getting what it means

My filter doesn't contain any bioballs, I'm using this following media in the link
http://www.arofanatics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=201958

I also use about 2 kg of biohome.

The rest is thick hard matting the koiponds use and simple cotton that is changed regularly.

Total volume of the filter for media is approximately 2.5 cubic feet/
