I am getting some pictus catfish soon. I was wondering how big some mfkers have gotten. I have heard anywhere from 5 to 7 in.

Yes, about 7inches. had mine for a few years. regretted selling him. they look nice cruising the tank with their long whiskers. Mine seems to be not shy and like showing off specially during meal time.
Have a pimelodous ornatus now. almost similar in size but a bit hard to get here in OZ.

I've had mine for a while now and i'd say he's between 4 and 5 inches, and i just recently got him a friend.
Mine calmed down alot when i got the second one, he used to eratically dart all over the tank or swim circles around driftwood for hours at a time which he still does on occaision, but not non stop like he did before i added the new one. i love these lil guys.

I've had one for 3-4 months and he's about 4". When I got him a friend he became less shy and more active.
