how big is yours

I had piranhas years ago, I had 22 fish in 3 different tanks. I started to breed them until one day they all die on me (the breeding pairs) my question to you guys out there, How big are your piranhas? I had a bunch of reds and they were about 7 inches with the tail, and I bought 1 from the local pet shop, they said it was a red but it was a 12 inch long female, the reason I know this she was one of the my breeders. is this possible to have a 12 red. or was it something else. if anyone out there has a big piranha, 12+", can you post some pics of them.. thanks

Most of the nattereri I have kept stopped growing around 9-10" but one reached 14" before it died during a poweroutage. It was as big as any I have seen in public aquariums though Steinhardt Aquarium had some about the same size.
