I just ordered a 350g and am working on finding a sump for it. After reading a few post it seems like, for a wet/dry, you'd want 1/3 the volume of the tank? Is this right? I've been looking for a 120-125g but after reading a few setups for 300+ gallon tanks, a 120g sump seems high?

Bio load will be pretty big.

Thanks,
Andrew

I've decided to go with a 75g sump with an Ocean clear 375. Would two mag drive 12's (rated at 1175gph at 15' max head) be enough? I'll add a FBF once I need more bio filtration.

please help? :(

I would not go any smaller than 75 gallons. That will allow you plenty of room for your media, your heaters, and any other goodies you want to put in there. It will also allow plenty of room for the extra water when you turn your pumps off.

I would think 75 would be minimum, but if it were me I would go 100+ on a tank that size. It's better to set it up right the first time and not waste money when down the road you decide you should have went bigger.
