i have a 125 which is stock with like 12 monster fish, Gar, RTC, Arowana, oscar and like 8 other homies. anyways i usually do 35-40 % water changes every wednesday ( WATER CHANGE WEDNESDAY) lol so is this enough or should i do more? and yes don't worry there is future pond plans for when these fish hit 19+ inches.

Better do 25%~50% every other day, you got very heavy bio load with those big eater! For me you way over stocked your grow out tank :P

If this is a standard 125 gallon it is only 18inches wide. I don't think a 19+in fish will be happy in there.

This is big load for 125g. Try water change every 3 days 50%. I know some guys with discus fish. They change 95% every day :)

I do 90% every week and it keeps nitrates at around 20-30ppm.
I was going to say that anything less than fifty percent at a tine is a waste to me but 90 percent is an even better amount.

I do 50% weekly regardless of stock, more and more frequently with heavily stocked tanks. I'll test nitrates to make sure it's enough, which I'd recommend you do as well. I'd figure you'd need 50% almost daily with that stock unless they're all very young. I'd do a drip system personally. Not trying to be a jerk, but do you have a future home for them in the line of 1000+ gallons?
If this is a troll post, I blame my current state of inebriation.

I believe I finally found my "sweet spot", 50% every 3-4 days.

For everyone thinking tht ima going to wait till they get 19+" are wrong I meant before the tank is 18" wide so I'm not going to have a fish stay In a tank we're they have no turning radius. They will honestly be going into a 750-900 gallon tank then a pond clearly moving there way up though there in a 125 as of now and will be going into a 150 by the middle of summer and by February they will be going into a 300 gallon. They are all 8" and under in a 72" long tank
