How big to Bristle Nose Plecos Get?

Iv had my BN for probably three months now and was just wondering how big they get, the pet store didnt shed much light on that subject :irked:
Hes grown a little but im always wondering if hes gonna become a gigantic monster or just say a medium sized pleco.
 
It depends on the species, the common ones usually get to 4 or 5 in so I dont think you have anything to worry about. The biggest guys i have ever seen was on aquabid. There was an albino pair: male 10in and female 8in! I have absolutely no idea why in the world they were so huge, but they where definitely bn, the bristles where so long. The pair ended up selling for over $150!

Damn. I wish I would have seen those. I would have bought them for that price.
 
WOW i hope he stays small ish lol 10 inches is a little big for me haha I already have a Clown Knife. Hes gonna be big enough. I guess will see what happens in the next year or so ^-^ Hopefully he stays a managable size.
 
i think its rare to see them over 5-6 inches. I have a bn male in a 55 gallon for about 2 yrs now and he is just barely 5 inches.
