How big was or is your severum at 1 yr?

I will have had my green severum for 1 yr in September . He was 1.5" when I got him last September. Now he is about 5". I thought he would be bigger then that at a year old. He grew like crazy the first few months now it's like slowed down a lot.

It must take years for they to get to 8". There is a 8" gold severum at my lfs with one eye he looks very old. I do weekly or more 40% wc feed twice a day all kinds of food.

I don't have a Severum but a friend of mine does, and he has some that hit 6 inch in 6 months and 8 inch in little over a year.

my gold was about 6" after 1yr of owning it. mine started spawning after 4 months of owning it so that slowed down its growth. i've had it for about 3 or 4 years now and its about 8-9" and bulky

He got them when they were small, I'd say 2 inch. But he has them in a 240 gallon with a low stock. So maybe 8 inch is not what you should be aiming for, but still it gives you an idea.
