I have 1 in a 55 gallon right now and its about 3 inches. How big will it get? I get mixed answers online, so if you have personal experience, that is better. Because I am not sure about it and confused. Thanks

Rallys I think told me I think what he found was 30"ish? His was 20" ish I know and I know so far when that small they seem to grow uber quick. But yeah too big for a 55g. So I would look for a tank upgrade.
When i got this fish I asked the guy how big will it get. He put his hands out and showed me, and I said, " About a foot?" And he said yeah. Then when asked if it would be fine in a 55 gallon, he said it was fine. I guess the guy didnt know about the fish really, or he didnt care. I am thinking about exchanging it, but the place is kinda far. But maybe I could grow the fish out and later give it away or sell it. I am unsure, because thats a hard thing to do especially if you are attached to the fish. I only had it for a little while and already like it alot.
I think I read somewhere that they average 17" in captivity. But yeah...I find more recipes for them than anything on how to care for them.
