Hello.

How big will a red belly piranha grow too? I have a few at 1 1/2 years old and they are 6.5"...is that also too small or big for their age? Any feedbacks would be appreciated.

Thanks! :headbang2

they can get up to 12", although alot of people won't see theirs get past 10". you can expect them to get between 6-8" within the first year and then it slows down to about an inch or less per year after that. my current natts are over 6" now and they are about 7 months old. keep your water pristine and feed them a healthy diet, they'll take care of the rest.

The biggest of the big can hit 12" / That would take up to 5 years to achieve .
However in the first year they will hit the 7" mark + or - a inch .
They get pretty gerthy /Thick .

i have seen reds up to 14" but those are rare.
10"-12" is what they will most likely grow to.

In the WILD you could expect to get them at 12"+ but in aquariums you usually will get specimen of 10"-12". Anything over 12"+ are rarely seen.
