How big do you guys think my discus should be before I try to put them in with my 14" silver arowana? Currently I have 5 clown loaches in the tank that measure from 1 3/4" to 2 1/2". The aro looks at them occasionally but has never shown any aggression that I've noticed.

Probably because Arkangel has never kept arowana and the combo sounds dangerous. If you keep the discus with the arowana before they reach there full potential you'll likely end up with "small" discus.
I would just wait until your discus are full grown adults, unless you are happy with sub-par specimens.
