How can i cure Gill Curl on African Pike?

Hello sirs! I just aquired now a african pike but i didnt notice that it has gill curl on the left gill. Here's some pictures and sorry for poor pictures.

How can i cure it and to get it back to normal?

Sedate and cut off the gill plate. I've seen it done on a couple friends arowana's and it will grow back.
