So last night i tore a tendon in my left arm and will most likely need either surgery or not using it for a while. So i have a 90 and a 10g that need at least weekly water changes of 40%. Normally i empty water into a bucket, pour it out, then i use a broken python hose to refill (i say broken because it cant take water out). So anyways is there a way of draining water without the bucket?

Easiest fix is get a new working piece of the broken Python piece.

a straw and multiple trips to the bathroom?
if you can run water into the tank with the python, you should be able to pull it out. is the tank level equal to or below the drain level?
just fill the python hose with one end iin the tank, disconnect and put it into a tub, sink, or even a floor drain.
I've used a small aquarium pump with tanks on the ground before.

Put a water pump in the tank to pump the water thru the python use it to go back to the tank. I have a small rio pump on my aqueon it's only rated for 211gph but it does it's job just takes a while.

If there is a window nearby, I just use a length of hose to siphon water straight out of my tank out the window into the backyard.
