I have a 6 inch giraffe nosed catfish and ive had him for about 3 months. I'm just wondering how you get them to eat new things. When He came to me the guys told me He was eating tetra granules and He still is but it just doesnt seem to be enough and i don't think hes grown that much since ive gottwb him and i guess in just a little worrued. Any suggestions are helpful. Thanks

stop feeding him for a week. he'll eat anything once hungry enough.

Yep. These cats are quite unfussy and called tank "vacuums" for a good reason. If he is very well fed or/and stubborn, a week should do. Normally a few days suffice. Any kind of pellet will work. Even if all you offer will be floating pellets, he will learn to take them from the surface - this done quite often. These fish may not take flesh as readily, like fish pieces, shrimp, etc. but do with the same training.
