I mean all they seem to want is flake food and maybe blood worms once in a while. I tried shrimp pellets, but they sink and the sharks just don't seem to be interested in eating off the bottom. I recently raised my tank temp a bit (actually one of my heaters kicked the bucket last fall and I just replaced it) and their appetite seems to be improving, but they still only seem to want their flakes lol.

If they are small it takes time. Mine fed on crisps forEVER. They still do, but I put some soft round pellets in to and they bite most of the time. When they are small it takes time, so try to mix up some other things in with the flakes and hope they bite.

You did not say what size. When smaller they will eat flake. As they get bigger try new foods. My 2 large ID will only eat algae waffers. As they get older they like algae. Do not be alarmed if they stop eating. MY big guy when stressed out stops eating. His longest time was almost a year.

my 8" LOVES his shrimp pellets. I have been offering a variety of flakes, shrimp pellets and freeze dried blood worms and they all seem to eat one or the other. Thank you for the advice.

try fd plankton for the small ones and fd krill for the larger worked for mine

if they are at least accepting the flakes and eating them vigorously, then I wouldn't worry about their appetite, but just be patient and eventually they will accept the pellets

I also find mine feed more with the lights out. Since I put them in the kiddie pool I cant pamper them anymore. So I drop some small pellets and crisps in the current and turn off all the lights. They are still alive after 2 weeks so they HAVE to be eating.

My guys are like 6-7 inches they eat everything!!!Cichlid sticks, shrimp pellets, raw shrimp, white fish etc....they have been like that since i first got them, super fast growers.
