I made a concrete background and had it in my tank for a week before I realized I didn't want to take up that much space so I took it out. I knew before hand the ph would sky rocket but it's been very hard to get it down even after taking the B.G out. I have rinsed the black sand I have in there good but its still high. This tank and sand had perfect ph before I installed it so I am sure that was what boosted it. I can't find any chemicals here in manila , ph to lower it. Does anyone who what I can do and how important a balanced PH is for a tank with amazon river fish? (Peacock Bass, RTCatfish, Tiger Shovelnose catfish, Red Pacu) Thank you

A massive water change really should solve the problem. Drift wood helps, but in your case I think just a few big water changes will bring it back down. I wouldn't use chemicals.
