What steps should I tank to seal a 90 gallon tank. It seems to have a small leak coming from the bottom of the tank. I haven't pin point the exact location yet, but this tank has never had a problem with leaking until now. It is almost a new tank, that has been sitting in my garage for about a year after discovering that it had a leak.

I would like to know what should I purchase to repair it? (the name of the glue, etc...)

How to repair it?

What are my chances of repairing it so that it won't leak again.

Note the tank has wooden trimming around it, again it looks and is almost new. Although, it has been used but not for very long.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes you can buy silicone at home depot.
Buy either DAP or GE Silicone I Windows and Door(Read to make sure there is no adhesive or mildew resistant).. It's 100% silicone and it's fish friendly.
Also make sure it is GE Silicone I not II because II has bioseal that WILL harm your fish.

And here is a cite that I have referred back to many of times I know it'll help you also.

If you do it right, You should never get a leak for years and years.

Good luck.

fyi GE II has a with and without bioseal just like GE I so you can use GE II as long as you get the kind without the bioseal. (i have used this on all 4 of my tanks that i i re-sealed)
