how can I take great photos like I see here?

Do i require a DSLR?

I currently only have a Olympus TG-4. I find all my photos with glare and grainy. If I go outside and take photos of inserts I can get super crisp shots. So whats the deal?

Any advice would be superb and greatly appreciated.

They are grainy because uou dont have enough light. With more light the grain should go away.

Changing your camera angles may help with the glare.

Use a lens hood up close to the tank to limit reflections as well

I usually don’t take my iso above 100 for outdoor n no more than 800 for indoor the higher the iso the more grainy your photos will be

It's all about lighting, but ya, if u want to take sharpe, great Pix, get an entry lvl dslr and get intophotography. I started my photography career becuz I Wanted to take better Pix of My fish. And fish is a harder subject to photograph, so when u master photograph fish, u can take on many other type of photography works
