How can I look up who owns a house and /or property?? in a middle of a court case and need to prove something about if, somebody owns a land/property..I know there is a fellow fish geek who can help me..Website, something that I dont have to pay...

never found a free place to do these things... you can probably just call the town office and find out

I think you have to pay for most of those sites.. But my dad had a map that he got from the BLM that had names of who owned the propery and property lines.. But that was for hunting use, to make sure we stayed on the right piece of dirt while hunting. Not sure if that helps you at all..

If you know what county the property is located in, just go to their website. Or go to the state's website to find the appropriate county site. It is possible that not all this info is available online.

our county has the property taxes and who paid them listed by name on their site.

Though it is public information, not all will be available online, especially without a cost. Your best best is to visit the County Recorders / Assessor's office in person. Viewing the information should be free, however, copies will not be, and depending on your state law, certain information may not be permitted for distribution outside their offices.
