How can you sex Argentina cichids?

Just picked up to about 8'' each. They both look a little diff. (markings).how can i tell which is which?

I'm sure Modest_Man and bigspizz will be more helpful than I am on this. However from what I've heard, the coloration is virtually the same. Some one said that the females have less black around the eye. The dorsal and anal fins on the males should also be longer than those on a female.

The only true way though is to vent them.

take the each fish out of the tank and hold then upside down with a magnify glass to vent them
