how can you tell if it is a RD or a Midas.....?

well i know most of them now adays are crossed but ocasionally you must come across them soo can you help me????

also post your pics of your True RD or true Midas

Can anyone ever really know? Can or do/they cross in the wild? I have many questions and no answers on this topic. Maybe an article or webpage should be developed with pictures of the real thing and crossbreeds?! I wish I could add a pic, by I'm sure mine is a cross Midas/RD.

We've all seen this photo online from one time to another but this is what i believe a true Midas would look like: a thicker/fuller body, generally larger hump, lips arent as pointy.

Red devils generally are more elongated and have bigger lips, while midas are stockier and "taller". But, unless you buy from a reputable source, there's no way to tell, as most specimens in the trade are hybrids. Check Rapps' site for pictures of pure RD and Midas:
