how can you tell if there under fed

you see yourself on TV on the show "Animal Cops"?

Don't worry about it. If you are feeding them daily, then they are getting more than they would get out in the wild. If their stomachs begin to look concaved, then it is time to increase the amount of food you are giving them.

when the next time you feed them, and all the food is gone in 2 seconds... thats when you know that they were underfed.

By the look of your sig...those fish will never be satified unless you overfeed them, so don't worry about it. ;)

I don't want to be mean or anything, but you should worry more about the sizes of the tanks and ponds you have them in, not the amount of food they are getting. Just my $.02 but koi need several hundred gallons per adult fish. I hope your aro is really really small and growing out because I would not want to be an aro in a 20. I just hate cramped spaces!

I am pretty sure that he has plans for all of his fish. But I always feed my fish when ever I feel like it. I think it is best for thier digestive system to do it that way. I would not continue with the once-a-day feeding. My fish always have seemed healthiest and most active when I feed them when ever I feel like it. Some times I feed them a couple days in a row and sometimes I skip three or four days. And I ALWAYS feed my fish until they cannot eat any more. But do it slowly so they don't try and eat too much and kill themselves.
