How can you tell the difference between a 3" Tigrinus and a 3" Jursense???

Any diagrams or picture would help, thanks in advance! ;)

Going to import some Tig, just making sure its the right fish for the right price!

Using your description

this fish stripes look Nice and not faded... but it labelled as jurense... (from the internet)

I know the head shape is not flat and long enough, but its very hard to tell from a 3" baby ><;;

Thats because it is a jurenese.

For me, tigs especially young tigs look sickly and have very beady eyes .

and Jur have much thicker stripes

Juruense has the thicker stripes, as mentioned, and also they are solid, through and through, up and down. Tigrinus stripes and pattern evolve, it can perpendicular thin stripes, or slanted backwards. There's no way you can confuse the two, not even at 3".

I have a group of 9 Tigrinus and, to be honest, I am sorry I didn't document their growth. Their heads have a slight blue colour that only deepens with age and size, and their bodies are getting clearer white base.

Not sure if was mentioned, head shape, feelers and trailers are different in the two species as well.
