Here's a question; how do you distinguish a hemibagrus wyckii from a wyckioides, nemurus??? Any1??? I just want to confirm which 1 I have. I have had people tell me that it a wyckii and others say its a nemrus... I was wondering how you you can tell the difference. I tried an image search for both and pictures are the same:confused:

I'm in the same shoes as you. I bought a fish not knowing what it was, and I been doin a ton of research on it... It has white tips on its tail, so I thought it was a Wickii, but others are telling me its an ARTC. Apparently, Wickii have short barbells, where as RTC's have LONG barbells. I'm convinced its a hybrid of the 2. As for your situation, use all the search engines and Just type in Hemibagrus, and take it from there. eventually you will stumble upon a guide to seperate all the different species

man your is an asian red tail
nice one at that
:)

but honestly it doesnt matter there basically the same othre than the wisker length and eyes

The difference is in the adipose fin as was very Meticulously explained to me by Dieselmack....My best advice...post a pic, and PM DM.
