Hey guys, last April I picked up a 2" gibbiceps pleco at my LFS before I was very into the hobby so I didn't know the size fish I was about to have on my hands
. Anyways, he in my 30 tall from when I got him to this February and now he is in my 75, really enjoys the extra 2 feet of length. He is about 4.5" now but his growth seems to be picking up a good bit. So I no 75 won't be big enough for life so I plan on putting him in the 180 I'm getting in fall 2015. My question is, I may be doing cichlids in the 180 which I know he'll be fine with but Im also considering making the 180 a native unheated sunfish and bullhead tank. Keyword there is 'unheated'. My house goes from 82 F in the summer down to 64 F in the winter. I know he would slow down at those temps which is fine but I don't want to make him miserable. So would he be fine at those cold temps since I've seen people keep them with natives before or do I need to get a heater even if it is native and set it to like 70?
