He's new in the tank correct?

It may be stress from being put into the tank, did you adjust the fish to that tanks water? Also check your water It has to be perfect for those kind of fish. May want to add a small amount of NONIODIZED salt, a tbsp per ten gallon is a general rule but I like to go with a lil less, will help the fish in the osmotic cycle

I will test my tank when I get home

He only eats food that floats on top tho
I put a kingworm in it floated but 2nd one sinked
I don't want to add salt tho idk why lol

Must be stress, water parameters? Size of the tank? BTW, did you acclimate the arowana first? Or you just dump it in by means of being exited to have one? You must have acclimate it first, cause aro's are known to be jumpy when first introduced to the tank.

160 gallon 6foot long but it's only for a while gonna get a bigger tank ya I let the fish float in water

it's probably in shock, leave it be for a couple of days, lights off and maybe visit it for observation, let it rest first. Must be startled with the trips you've had. Leave it a day or two, give some minimum food for a single meal.

Probably defective. No wonder you got him for such a good price

What do you mean by defective the reason he sold it was he got a more expensive one
