i want to make a few 1gl or more betta tanks but i don't know were to start can some one help me. i was also thinking of making like a long row tank that are divided maybe like 10 sections for the Betta's and that has a extended back to it to allow me to install a small filter on the back. but on the back of each dived section i want to drill large wholes to allow all the water to circulate trough all the sections. can some one help me out with this.

how much money are u trying to spend?

You can build a tank out glass. it should be fairly cheap since the glasspanesl only have to be around 7 inches high, and u can make it as long as u need it. with only 4 inches. Use plastic pegboard, or drill holes in acrylic to make deviders

If i was really big into bettas, i would make them a indoor pond, 6feet long, 6inch high. 2 feet wide, and try to imitate their environs, but thats just me

call up your local glass shop. you have to build the tank out of glass for the deviders you can use acrylic. acrylic doesnt bond with silicone but it will hold it in place also you can drilll holes in it. or try to see if the glass company will drill holes for you.

I would use acrylic. It would not have to be that thick due to it not spanning that much distance with out a brace. I like to work with it better than glass because you can use regular hand tools to cut and drill it. If you do go acrylic make sure you get cell cast it is stronger and it is what is used in commercially manufactured tanks.
